Coast Guard rescues two mariners from sinking sailboat more than 100 miles off North Carolina coast
The Coast Guard rescued two mariners from their 32-foot sailboat Walrus, which was sinking approximately 103 miles east of Wilmington, North Carolina on Tuesday, January 29, 2025. The mariners called for help after their vessel began taking on water faster than they could manage.
