Shrimp Trawler Washes Ashore Near Frisco, North Carolina

The shrimp trawler Big John from Wanchese, NC was found overturned and broken apart half a mile north of Cape Hatteras National Seashore near Frisco at approximately 5:20 am. NPS Rangers, U.S. Coast Guard, and Hatteras Island Rescue Squad responded to assist in a search.
