Body of Missing 17-Year-Old Swimmer Found

On October 13, a 16-year-old and 17-year-old were pulled into the ocean by strong rip currents off a Cape Hatteras National Seashore beach in Waves, NC. The 16-year-old returned safely to shore and was hospitalized; the body of the 17-year-old was found after search efforts by the National Park Service, U.S. Coast Guard, and local emergency responders.
